【摘要】:Thispracticecontainssuggestedprovisionsforreportingstrengthvalues.AnyASTMtestmethodfordeterminingstrengthpropertiesofadhesivebondsmaybeused.Thispracticeisnotintendedtodeterminethepotorworkinglifeoftwo-componentepoxyofsimilartypeadhesives.RefertoPracticeD1338.Itshouldbenotedthatthereareadhesiveswhosetestingrequiresspecialtechniquesandwhosepropertiesaredifficulttoreproducefromtestertotester.Thesevariablesshouldbekeptinmindwhenanalyzingthedataobtainedusingthispractice.1.1Thispracticecoversthedeterminationofthestrengthdevelopmentofadhesivebondswhentestedonastandardspecimenunderspecifiedconditionsofpreparationandtesting.Itisapplicabletoadhesivesinliquidorpasteformthatrequirecuringatspecifiedconditionsoftimeandtemperatureorspecificsubstratepreparation.Itisintendedprimarilytobeusedwithmetal-to-metaladherends;however,plastics,woods,glass,orcombinationsofthesemaybesubstituted.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
