【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsforprimersforusewithpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)pipeandfittingsthataretobejoinedbyPVCsolventcementsmeetingtherequirementsofSpecificationD2564.Theseprimersareusedinpressureandnonpressureapplicationswithplainendpipeandeithersocket-typefittingsorbellendpipe.Theseprimerspreparethesurfaceofpipeandfittingsbeforetheapplicationofsolventcement.Theprimer'seffectonthesetandcuretimeofthejointisdependentonthecement,pipesize,applicationmethod,temperature,andhumidity.AprocedureforusingtheprimerwithcementisgiveninPracticeD2855.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section6,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
